Pickles

I know most if not all the weight I lost last week was just water-weight, but it still feels great to see some lower numbers on the scale. The meals Misti has been making the two of us have been terrific.

I probably look a little strange eating my packed lunch in the fast food restaurants my co-workers and I frequent, but who cares. The food looks good and tastes good. I have not yet felt a challenge of hunger because I just snack on fruits and vegetables any time I get an urge to eat. My new favorite is the pickle. I bought a huge jar of them at Sam's Club, what a great snack.

I weighed in this morning at 266, the exact weight as yesterday. I realize I may not lose much or any at all this week due to last weeks numbers, but I do know the weight will not increase.

My dad told me to keep my eye on the prize and that is exactly what I am going to do. I know I can lose this weight if I stay focused and am consistent. I had another great walk tonight on the treadmill, then I took my new pup on a nice walk around the neighborhood. I think my dog likes this exercise thing as well.

One Week Down

9 pounds in a week! I am elated.

I am so happy this eating healthy stuff and exercising thing is actually working. Misti and I had a great time today walking around the Tempe Town Lake. The healthy food she has been making all week tastes great and my 10,000 steps a day has not been too much of a challenge at all.

All smiles down here in Laveen. I have a good feeling this weight is never going to come back!

So Far So Good


I only really call what I am doing a "diet" because it is easier for people to remember my blogs title. This is not a diet, this is indeed a lifestyle change. I have been on many diets and I can tell you first hand they do not work.

Yes I am going to lower my caloric intake, and yes I am going to exercise, but most importantly I am going to be consistant and persistant. I need to make my health a priority.
A few weeks back I bought the entire collection of The Westwing. I figured I could stay motivated to complete my treadmill workouts if I were hooked on a long series. So far so good. I watched two episodes while walking on the treadmill. I felt great about tonights workout.No pictures tonight, I think I will post them once a week.
Oh yea, I also bought a pedometer and plan on taking 10,000 steps a day. I had 10,678 steps recorded today!

A New Begining

Tonight we witnessed the birth of my new blog. I need to lose weight NOW, and I need to be held accountable. It is getting late so I will just post my pics. Later this week I will get more in depth on my roadmap to health.
